Well, I couldn't remember the password or login or email associated with my old blog, so I started another! I am really enjoying retirement and hope to get better organized and catch up on some things. I'm taking it one day at a time, but I do get impatient!

Wednesday, March 1, is my oldest child's birthday. Since his birthday falls mid-week, we took him and his son to dinner today. We had a great time. When we got back home Isaiah had fun riding his 4-wheeler around our yard. His goal was to drive down the hill to the creek! He did and shared that it was a little scary!

As usual, I procrastinated getting Michael's card made. This morning, before church, while my fur babies were eating breakfast, I made his card. I had to leave it weighed down for some of the elements to dry. I got it in the envelope shortly before Michael and Isaiah arrived!

I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out! I used some Paper Loft cardstock I've had for years, DCWV metallic cardstock for the gears, Tim Holtz Thinlits gear dies, Crafters Companion embossing folders (texture and happy birthday), Anna Griffin word die (son) and DecoArt Metallic Luster Gold Rush to make the "Happy Birthday" stand out. As most me, Michael is not that impressed with my crafts, but he did make several positive comments about his card! Mama is Happy!

I'm working to get my Angels' scrapbooks caught up. My last year teaching was hectic and somehow I got behind--really behind. Abbi's, Therin's, and Lancer's are good to go. I'm beginning work on Sela's tomorrow. I'll post an update between loads of laundry. Yes, Monday is laundry day!
